In today’s generation, where one cannot function efficiently without the
internet, the digital media undoubtedly plays a momentous role. We love our
glossy paper, but our reality is digital.
A fashion and lifestyle/luxury brand would benefit more from there
digital forum rather than print. This is because of high level of interactive
experience which just adds more value to your cause; print media however can
become limited. Digital media has a higher reader engagement, give a man a
magazine he’ll read it once, give the man an Ipad app and he’ll read it every
day. One of the greatest benefits of a digital
media has to be the immediate readership feedback; you can now ask the reader
about their experience and opinions.
- · In your opinion, what is the role of a mobile (Smart phone) in digital marketing for a fashion and lifestyle brand/luxury brand?
A smart phone is the ultimate medium for a brand to communicate
with its market at a personal level but however, in my opinion, the core values
of the brand are at the risk of being compromised. A luxury brand is not just
about its product but also other factors like, the overall ambience and
experience. While the digital media helps reach a greater market, it also puts
the brand identity in danger of degrading its value.
